SolarEdge Commercial Cellular Modem Plug-In for SetApp Inverters
The SolarEdge CELL-B-R05-US-S-S5 is a small circuit board that plugs directly into a SetApp commercial inverter to connect a solar power system to the internet via a cell phone network. It comes with a 5-year prepaid data plan for commercial systems under 1000 kW, removing the need to run Ethernet cables or set up site Wi-Fi. Placing the plug-in board directly inside the inverter cabinet protects it from weather and physical damage.
Once installed, the modem sends real-time performance data from inverters, power optimizers, batteries, meters, and weather stations to the SolarEdge Monitoring Platform. This continuous wireless connection gives solar installers full visibility into site energy production from any computer or mobile device. Installers can run diagnostics, check system status, and perform remote firmware updates without driving out to the job site.
