Freight Shipping Policy
We utilize various warehouses throughout the United States to bring you the most cost effective shipping options. We offer small package and freight shipping options.
Freight prices start at the below options:
Types of Delivery Options:
Commercial Dockside No Lift Gate - $249
Commercial Dockside with a Lift Gate- $299
Residential Curbside with a Lift Gate - $399
Residential Inside Delivery with a Lift Gate - $450
Due to the variability of warehouse locations, delivery address, and weight/size/type of product(s) freight rates may vary. We will contact you within 1 business day to discuss your freight options should they exceed the starting rate.
For Commercial Shipments, we provide DOCKSIDE DELIVERY without and with a liftgate. If you do not have a dock or forklift onsite to unload the pallet, pleases choose the “Commercial Dockside with a Lift Gate”
For Residential Shipments, we offer CURBSIDE DELIVERY WITH A LIFT GATE, which means the delivery truck will use a liftgate to lower the pallet off of the truck, and place the materials curbside. The driver is not responsible for bringing the shipment onto your driveway or property. If you require this type of service please select the INSIDE DELIVERY option.
Items that are required to ship via a freight carrier and on a pallet, skid, bundle, or crate are:
- Solar Panels greater than 160 Watts
- Batteries that are hazardous material or weigh more than 65 pounds
- Inverters that weigh more than 65 pounds
- Rails that are longer than 108 inches (9 feet)
- Items or shipments that weigh more than 65 pounds
We do our absolute best to ensure your shipment arrives in great condition, complete, and undamaged. However, sometimes damages or missing items do occur. When this happens, we need your help in order to expedite a shipping claim and deliver replacement materials to you. Please review and complete our Freight Terms & Conditions agreement for details on how you can help expedite a claim in the event of damage or missing items. If your order has items that are required to ship freight, this form will be emailed to you to complete prior to shipping. Thank you!
Delivery Policy
At the time of delivery, all shipments are required to be fully inspected. If any damage or missing items are found, we must be notified within 5 days of the delivery date in order to file a claim with the carrier. Failure to meet this deadline may result in Solux LLC denying your damage claim and any reimbursement charges.
Inspection At Time Of Delivery
Please be prepared for the following at the time of delivery:- An adult must sign for the delivery or else the driver will not deliver the goods.
- The receiver must fully inspect the delivery
- Note the damage or missing items on the Bill of Lading (BOL) paperwork and sign it.
- If there is suspected damage (broken pallet/box, pallet is shifted or leaning, packaging is not intact, discoloration, etc.), notate on the Bill of Lading (BOL) “Possible Concealed Damage”
- Take pictures of the shipment, damage(s) and/or damaged product(s).
- Take a picture of the Bill of Lading (BOL) that you noted and signed.
- Note the driver’s name and employee/driver number.
- Contact Solux LLC within 5 days of delivery by submitting a Damage Claim Form here or calling us at 866-209-3018.
If the entire shipment is damaged, please Refuse the Delivery and also complete steps 1-5 above.
Failure to follow these steps in the event of damage or missing items may result in a denied claim and replacement order.
For Freight Shipments Going To A Business And Or Commercial Address
Freight Drivers assume businesses are open until 5pm to receive deliveries, and therefore do not schedule deliveries in advance unless the “Delivery Appointment” Service is paid for prior to shipping. If you need this service or your business does not have standard operating hours between 8am-5pm, please contact us to discuss your options.
For Freight Shipments Going To A Residential Address
Once the shipment arrives to the final terminal, a representative from the trucking company will contact you to schedule a day and 2 hour window time for your delivery. An adult must be present at the time of delivery to inspect and sign for the material(s). If the delivery attempts are unsuccessful, the shipment will be returned to the warehouse and treated as a return.
In the event this should happen, the following costs will be incurred and deducted from the refund return:
- The original shipping costs to the delivery address.
- The shipping costs for the return to the warehouse. This is the cost it takes to have the item(s) returned to our warehouse(s).
- Any incurred restocking fees may be deducted from the refund (up to a 50% restock fee).
Freight Damage Claim Policy
If you were charged shipping by Solux LLC, submitted a Solux LLC damage form, and completed steps 1-5, then you may qualify for our Worry Free Replacement program.
If you used a 3rd Party Shipper and provided shipping paperwork to Solux LLC, then you are responsible for filing the damage claim with the shipping carrier. As the claimant, the freight company if there are any reimbursement charges owed, the carrier will issue them to you per their claim process.
Note: If a replacement order is needed, a new order should be placed with Solux LLC and paid in full. The reason for this is because the original shipment was shipped on your account and you are financially liable. By filing a claim with the carrier, you are seeking reimbursement from them as the responsible party for the damage.
If a shipment is received and signed for and later to have discovered damage without noting the damages prior to signing the delivery paperwork, then Solux LLC may be unable to file a claim, seek reimbursement charges, and/or provide a replacement order.
