The SMA DC-SPD-KIT7-T1T2 Surge Protector Kit is a high-capacity Type 1/2 DC surge protective device (SPD) engineered specifically for newer-generation SMA Sunny Tripower CORE1-US series inverters (STP xx-50 / STPxx-US-50). It provides critical defense for internal MPPT tracking channels and DC power electronics against direct lightning impulses, utility switching spikes, and induced voltage transients originating on solar PV array wiring.
Designed for fast field integration, this complete kit installs directly into the dedicated internal DC SPD slots within the inverter enclosure, eliminating the need for external DC surge arresters or standalone combiner boxes.
