Victron Energy VE.Direct Non-Inverting Remote On-Off Cable

The Victron Energy ASS030550320 is a specialized control interface cable designed to enable remote on/off switching of Victron BlueSolar and SmartSolar MPPT charge controllers via their VE.Direct communication port. It allows an external battery management system (BMS) or third-party logic controller to regulate solar charging directly based on battery charge status.

Operating on positive non-inverting logic, this cable commands the solar charger to turn ON when the incoming signal voltage goes high (above 3V), and triggers an immediate switch OFF when the signal drops low or becomes floating (below 1V). This behavior matches the Charge Disconnect output of the Victron VE.Bus BMS, smallBMS, and BMS 12/200, protecting lithium battery banks from destructive overcharge conditions.
