Victron Energy VE.Direct to RS232 Interface Cable
The Victron Energy ASS030520500 is an optically isolated serial communication interface cable designed to connect Victron devices equipped with a VE.Direct port to third-party RS232 serial hardware. It enables industrial PLCs, RTUs, PCs, marine computers, and embedded microcontrollers to read real-time telemetry and send configuration commands using Victron's published VE.Direct protocol.
Featuring integrated galvanic isolation, the interface prevents dangerous ground loops and electrical interference between the battery system's ground and the host serial network. The cable terminates in a female DB9 (DE-9) connector with thumb locking screws, providing a robust, noise-immune link supporting both VE.Direct Text Mode and VE.Direct HEX Mode communication.
