The Tigo 478-00257-00 TS4-R-F is a module-level rapid shutdown retrofit unit (MLPE) engineered to provide cost-effective fire-safety compliance for existing or new residential and commercial photovoltaic arrays. Designed to control a single PV module rated up to 475 W, it ensures full compliance with NEC 2017, 2020, and 2023 690.12 requirements when paired with an external Tigo RSS Transmitter or an inverter with a built-in certified transmitter.

Operating via standard power-line communication (PLC), the TS4-R-F maintains module circuit continuity as long as it detects an active keep-alive signal broadcast through the DC array wiring. When AC power to the transmitter is cut, the unit immediately initiates rapid shutdown, de-energizing the solar module output to safe levels in less than 30 seconds. This model includes an integrated heavy-duty metal racking/frame bracket, 0.12 m input leads, and 1.0 m output cables terminated with standard MC4-compatible connectors.
