The K2 Flash Comp Kit, is a roof attachment solution used in K2 Systems’ CrossRail photovoltaic (PV) mounting systems for pitched roofs with composition/asphalt shingle surfaces. It’s designed to provide a watertight and structurally solid connection between the solar racking system and the roof deck.

• Durable & Certified: The hook body is made from aluminum alloy with a mill finish, giving it excellent resistance to outdoor corrosion without the need for coatings that can peel or degrade over time while the hardware is stainless steel, which resists rust and maintains mechanical strength when exposed to moisture, heat, and UV exposure common on roofs.
• Water Protection & Fit: The kit includes a factory‑applied EverSeal butyl waterproofing membrane bonded to the base of the hook. This butyl pad creates a continuous, flexible waterproof seal where the hook penetrates the roof surface. Designed for use on tile roofs (S‑tile, W‑tile, flat tile, etc.) with the appropriate roof flashing or tile replacement. The geometry of the hook allows it to be positioned beneath adjacent tiles for a secure installation.
